3. Load image

When using the Layers, Morphing or Collage functions, you can import additional images from a file, clipboard, gallery, previous work or a TWAIN source. Just press the loadlayer.jpg (5820 bytes) button in any of these function windows.

Load image from file

To load an image from file, click on the file.jpg (6441 bytes) icon. The standard dialog box for opening a file will appear.

Load image from clipboard

To load an image from the clipboard, click on the clipboard.jpg (8272 bytes) icon. If the clipboard contains graphic information, it will be presented as an image.

Load image from gallery

To load an image from a gallery, click on the gallerybut.jpg (7890 bytes). The gallery window will appear.

First select the type of the image. In the center of the window youÆll see images of the selected type. At the top right corner of the window youÆll see the number of images of the selected type. To open an image, just double-click on it.

Note: When you add clip-art from the gallery to an image, you create a collage.

You can also update the gallery from the Internet. Just click on the updatebut.jpg (5949 bytes) button. The window for downloading images from the Internet appears.

It consists of the following parts:

Working with the window.

When the window appears, only the name of server(s) where templates are located can be seen in the Tree View List. A check mark next to the name of the server activates the search for new elements on this server. If any are found, they are shown in categories. If none are found, a corresponding message appears.

Tree View List:

This list contains the names of new elements available on the server. To see a preview of an element, double-click on its name while pressing CTRL. To view previews of all elements of a given type, double-click on the type while pressing CTRL. To add a template to the Download List, double-click on it. To add all templates of a given type to the Download List, double-click on the desired type.

Preview:

Here, previews of the templates to be downloaded are shown. At the top right corner of a preview is a sign showing whether or not this work has been added to the Download List. To download a template from Preview, double-click on this sign while pressing CTRL. To add/remove an element to/from the Download List, double-click on the sign in the element's preview.

The Download List:

This list shows the templates you have selected for downloading. To remove a template from the list, double-click on it.

To start downloading images, press the start.jpg (5890 bytes) button..

To stop downloading images, press the stop.jpg (5937 bytes) button.

Load work from file

To load work you have previously saved, click on the work.jpg (6825 bytes) icon.
 
 

Note: Work in progress is the current condition of the work area, including the image and all layers. Work can be saved at any time to the hard disk and then loaded again later to continue working with the same image.

Load image from Twain source

If your computer is connected with equipment that supports TWAIN technology (e.g. a scanner), and the corresponding drivers are installed, an image can be loaded via the TWAIN source. Just click on the video.jpg (7543 bytes) icon. A dialog box with options will appear.
